Lots of festivities this month - costume parade and story time at a local nursing home, Boo at the Zoo, pumpkin farm, scarecrow day at school, pumpkin party at school, pumpkin decorating at home, pumpkin crafts, jack-o-lantern pizza, baking pumpkin bread and pumpkin spice lattes (mommy and daddy), trick or treating and candy, candy, candy! Lucky for us, both girls are still buying the one piece of candy per day for 7 days rule and the rest gets saved for our December Advent calendar. I'm not sure we'll be able to continue that into Kindergarten though!
(Like mother like daughter. I have a farmer/scarecrow halloween picture -circa mid-1980s- that I need to get off our external hard-drive and put on here. We look almost identical.) I didn't get the memo that it was scarecrow day at school until the night before. Good thing Allie can still fit into 12-18 month overalls! Sad to say, but they were only about 1 1/2 inches too short!
(Check out Katie's nose. Poor girl was dancing at Boo at the Zoo and took a hard fall. At least the goose-egg in the middle of her forehead was mostly gone by trick or treating!)
