Look who turned 3!

Allie turned 3 on the 12th and had several parties to celebrate! Because we were leaving for the Dells on her actual birthday, we had a party the day before and celebrated at home with Sue, Don and Kevin. Kevin and Allie had a blast making (and eating) her dirt cake birthday cake.

While in the Dells, we went out for her birthday dinner at Buffalo Phil's. The kids loved the restaurant because there was a train that brought our food out to us. The staff gave a special whistle to celebrate her birthday and the train brought her an ice cream sundae. Afterward, she rode on a mini-roller coaster at Knuckleheads, an arcade, mini-golf, and game room which was attached to the restaurant. Boy did that thing go fast (Alex and I thought we were going to puke!) but Allie LOVED it.

Last but not least, Allie had a birthday party later in the month and invited 10 of her friends to help her celebrate. Allie was so excited and it's all she talked about the week prior to the celebration. Unfortunately, she came down with the stomach flu the day before and her "best birthday party ever" had to be pushed back a day. At the party, the kids made a flip-flop picture frame to take home, had fun with a Tinker Bell pinata, ate pizza and a Disney princess cake, and of course, Allie opened presents and had lots of play time with her friends. I think the celebration lived up to her expectation of it being "the best birthday party EVER"!

Happy Birthday to our precious big girl! We love you, Allie!
