Allie turned 2 on the 12th of July and celebrated with 2 parties this year. She had a "friends" party on July 1st. We planned to go to the local spray park, but woke that morning to unseasonably cool temperatures. Instead, we had a pizza party at a local restaurant.
On the 11th, we had our "family" party. Grandma and Grandpa Moffitt, along with Uncle Charlie, were here to help Allie celebrate at her Mickey-Mouse themed birthday bash.
It's hard to believe that our little girl, is now a big girl and a big sister. It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital. Here's a small glimpse into Allie's little corner of the world.
- Her vocabulary is expanding every day. Her favorite phrases right now are "so cute", and "I did it!". Adorable!
- Her favorite activities are playing in the pool, going to the park, drawing with sidewalk chalk, putting puzzles together, reading, coloring, dancing, playing with her kitchen and shopping cart and going to the zoo.
- She loves to hang out with her playgroup buddies: Owen, Sophia, Sydney, Grace, Tyler, Lydia, Lydia and Jordyn. She wakes up most mornings asking to play with them.
- She can count from 1-10, identifies most of her letters and is now trying to master colors and shapes.
- Her favorite shows are Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Playhouse and Super Why.
- She still loves food and will eat just about anything except broccoli, green and red peppers and some squash.
- And she loves her role as a big sister. She has a very "nice touch" with Katelyn, thinks that she is "so cute" and "so pretty" and especially loves cooking pretend food and piling it up on and around Katelyn.
