Allie's First Birthday

I turned 1 this past weekend. I had quite the celebration, with festivities beginning late Thursday night when Grandma and Grandpa Moffitt and Uncle Charlie arrived.

Here's me, on Friday, enjoying my first birthday gift. A picnic table from Grandma and Grandpa M. They do know it isn't my birthday yet, don't they? That's ok, they can give me presents whenever they want!
And when I woke up on Saturday, I got my present from Mom and Dad. My little car is so much fun!

Then I had the best breakfast ever! Pancakes and bananas...yum! Good thing my parents took the candle out before I ate it. I could have done some serious damage with that!

After my nap, all my friends came over to play with me. We played lots of games. First we went on a bug hunt. Then we played "put the spots on the ladybug". After that we played with bubbles. It was so much fun.

After we ate pizza, I finally got to have my birthday cake!

These are the cupcakes my friends got to eat.

And here's a before picture of my VERY OWN cake. Take a good look because it won't look like this for long!
Here's the after shot and a few "work in progress" ones.

I tried to share some cake with Dad and Mom, but they were a little reluctant to accept my offering. Guess that means more for me!
I LOVE cake. I can't wait until next year when I can have some more!

Mommy and Daddy attempted to get a group shot of us kids, but nobody wanted to play with me after I had my cake. I wonder why.
Juliana was the only one that would come near me. She's so nice.

After my friends left and I had my afternoon nap, I went to the zoo. We didn't take many pictures but here is one of me with my Aunt Beth.

And when we were done at the zoo, we went out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa M. and Juliana and her family. It was a very special dinner - I got to order off the kids' menu for the first time and the wait staff sang happy birthday to me. Too bad Mom and Dad wouldn't let them bring me another cake!

It was pretty late when we got home, but I still had lots of presents to open. So Dad and Mom helped me open them, I played for a little while, and then I was off to bed.

Whew! It was a very fun, but exhausting, day. Good thing it only happens once a year!
