Allie turned 7 months on the 12th. According to our measurements, she is roughly 25 inches and weighs 14 pounds 3 ounces (5th - 10th percentile in both categories). She is changing so much and growing up very quickly! Here's a quick list of some things Allie is doing/enjoying these days.
- Babbling all the time and stringing together consonants and vowels. She especially likes to hear herself shriek and her noises are becoming higher in pitch each day.
- Bouncing up and down in her exersaucer.
- Banging together blocks, stackable cups and just about anything that will make a noise.
- She loves to eat. She has tried - sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, yellow squash, green beans, peas, carrots, avocado, pears, apples, bananas, blueberries and a couple of cheerios. Next on her list is chicken and tofu.
- Listening to music - especially Raffi and Mother Goose Rocks.
- Reading books.
- Playing peek-a-boo. She giggles all the time when we play. When we pretend to sneeze she also cracks up laughing.
- Scooting on her bottom. She is very good at it on the kitchen and dining room floors. She is just starting to make some progress on the carpet.
