Where does she come up with this?

This morning Allie was in the bathroom going potty and Alex was hanging out in there with her. Of course, she's jabbering away, and this is what I hear...

Allie: Daddy, you go potty standing up because you don't have a bottom. But I have a bottom. And Katie has a bottom. And Mommy has a bottom. But you don't have a bottom. That's why you go potty standing up.

Alex: (silence)

Hmm. I'm SO not ready for Allie to start asking THE questions that I know she's going to start asking. Can't we keep her young and innocent forever? In the meantime, we're doing whatever we can to delay the inevitable. There will be no more walking in on Daddy going potty or taking a shower. Bathroom doors will remain locked at all times!

Life was so much simpler before she learned to open doors.
