10 months!

Katelyn is growing so quickly! This past weekend (in less than a 24 hour period) she mastered crawling (and is now a speed demon) and cut her first 2 teeth! She drinks from a sippy cup, eats lots of table food, and is becoming more of a toddler and less of a baby with each passing day!

10 things we love about Katelyn:

*She's a cuddle bug. She loves to rub her hands across our faces, put her little cheek on our shoulders and best of all, give big wet, open-mouth kisses on our cheeks.
*She is so proud of herself when she accomplishes something and gets praise from us. Lately, she likes to practice standing up, over and over, and delights in the applause we offer each time she does it.
*her chubby knees and thighs.
*the big belly laughs she offers up when we tickle her tummy, kiss her neck or nibble on her feet.
*watching her kick and splash in the water. She loves bath-time.
*listening to her "hum" along with her musical toys. It seems, unlike her mama, she may actually be able to carry a tune.
*that every time we put her on her changing table and attempt to change her diaper, she tries to roll over, mid-diaper change.
*the way she takes her pacifier out of her mouth and chucks it across the room when she isn't in the mood for our 'middle of the night, quick-fix, please don't make us feed you' methodology.
*her easy-going disposition. She cries when she's hungry, tired, needs to be changed or doesn't feel well. Otherwise, she can sit and play with one toy for an hour at a time. I wrote this before her current shrieking stage. Loud, ear-piercing shrieks which occur about every 30 seconds - no joke. I'll still keep this one on the list, because I'm hoping (praying) this is just a stage!
*She gives us the biggest smiles and gets her whole body into it when she does. Smiley eyes, big squishy cheeks, and full body lunges forward and back as she enthusiastically breaks into a grin. They're like a ray of sunshine and they melt our hearts.

And a few more, because we just can't stop at 10!
*the way she pulls up the bottom of her shirt to cover her eyes while playing peek-a-boo.
*when she tosses her toy, pacifier, or just about any other object on the floor and says "oh" -- her version of uh-oh.

We love you, our precious baby girl!
