A few months ago, a friend was cleaning out some toys and gave us this little toy house. It soon became one of Allie's favorite toys.
Yesterday she was sitting in the doorway talking on her play cellphone with her friend Grace. These conversations happen quite frequently, so I wasn't paying much attention to the one-sided dialogue. At one point, though, Allie broke from the typical "Hi Gace. What you doing Gace?" and this is what I heard... "Gace, my house is dirty. You come over and keen it?" Hilarious!

Today Alex went running with a friend. After he left, Allie decided she wanted to go running too. (At this point, she had no clothing on her lower half; she had an accident and hadn't put on new pants yet.) She came to me, told me she was going running too, and needed to put her shoes on. I suggested she put on pants too, but she'd hear nothing of the sort. I guess in Allie's mind, shoes are a definite requirement for running, but pants are optional.
(Oh, how we'll embarrass her with this picture, one day!)
