5:40am Saturday morning. I've just finished feeding Katelyn and we are playing on my bed. Alex comes in and is playing with our little one, too. Allie is downstairs, but making her way up to join us. She comes into our room, crawls up on the bed.
Alex: "Allie, can you say hello to Katelyn."
Allie: Reaches out and grabs Katelyn's hand and says, "Nice see you, Katelyn". Allie then reaches out, grabs Alex's hand and says "Nice see you, Daddy". She turns to me, grabs my hand and repeats the same thing.
Of course, we have no idea where she picked up this phrase. Alex and I aren't in "formal" or "semi-formal" conversations too often. A few minutes pass. We're wondering if it's a fluke.
Alex: Grabs Allie's hand. "Good to see you, Allie".
Allie: "Good see you, too."
